Community Guidelines

Introduction

Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Social Media accounts and the Ripleys.com commenting feature, are intended to provide users with a place to connect, wonder, discuss, and share amongst one another. In order to facilitate the exchange of ideas and to ensure that they are expressed in an appropriate manner, Ripley Entertainment Inc. has implemented Social Media Community guidelines (“Guidelines”). These Guidelines clearly outline the rules of conduct for participation on all Ripley’s Believe It or Not! (“Ripley’s”) social media accounts and websites and should be consulted by all users.

Community of Respect

In order to create a positive and engaging environment for users across all Ripley’s accounts and platforms, we ask that all users treat each other with respect and kindness. While users may disagree with an idea or thought of another, they must be respectful of others at all times. Insults, threats, foul language or harassment of other users, organizations or employees are prohibited.

Ripley’s reserves the right to delete any comment deemed inappropriate to the full extent that each respective social media platform allows. Ripley’s is a global community of many types of people and we have a zero-tolerance policy towards offensive and improper commentary. Therefore, comments or posts that includes the following will be deleted:

  • defamatory, indecent, hateful, racist, threatening, xenophobic, homophobic, sexist, disgraceful, vulgar or inappropriate.
  • encourages or suggests illegal activity, announcements from labor or political organizations, and unintelligible or irrelevant posts.

Public Platforms

Nothing is private when posting or commenting on a public feed. Once the submit/send button is clicked, the post or comment can be indexed and may turn up in search engine results even years later.

That being said, do not post or comment any information that you would not want others or the general public to know. Remember that the information you share on a public feed may be captured, stored, accessed, potentially disclosed and/or used inappropriately by others.

Owning Your Comments

Any comments or opinions shared by our followers on Ripley’s social media accounts or on Ripleys.com are those of their respective contributors only. The views expressed by outside contributors do not represent the views of Ripley Entertainment Inc., its agents, officers, members, directors , or its employees. Ripley’s does not endorse or approve those views and/or commentary provided by external contributors.

Use Original Content

All content posted by users on Ripley’s social media accounts and Ripleys.com must comply with intellectual property rights related to such content. Posting content that violates someone else’s intellectual property rights, including copyright and trademark is prohibited.

Responsibilities

Ripley’s is not responsible or liable for damages you may incur during your use of Ripley’s social media accounts. You must comply with the social media platform or tool terms and conditions on which Ripley’s social media accounts are hosted.

Active Responses to Inquiries

We put forth our best effort to read all messages, posts and comments from users, and we may answer when appropriate. As our accounts are continuously monitored, responses to questions and inquiries will be monitored between the hours of 8AM-8PM EST, Monday to Friday.

Guideline Updates

Ripley Entertainment Inc. reserves the right to amend these Guidelines at any time without prior notice.
